Our Story

David Enterprises, Inc. was founded by Jerry Sr. and Katzie David in 1986 as a spinoff of David Excavating, which was established in the late 1960s. In the mid-1970s, the Davids set up their first asphalt plant and worked in both the excavating and asphalt businesses. However, during the recession in the early 1980s, the original asphalt plant was demolished, not to be rebuilt again until the mid-1980s. In 1986, David Enterprises also built its first concrete plant, which was later replaced in 2007.

In January 1997, Jerry Jr., Jon David, and their sister Diane Folz bought the company from their parents. Since then, with a focus on high-quality products and outstanding customer service, they have successfully established David Enterprises as one of Evansville’s leading asphalt contractors and concrete suppliers. Because of their commitment to quality products and lasting customer relationships, the Davids are able to count many of their customers as good friends as well. The Davids feel blessed to have such a great team of employees who work to keep the company successful and innovative.
